Reserved on April 15th 2008...Configured today, September 16th...DDE is saying Mar-May 2009...Hoping to see it sooner than that!!

I was just ready to post another "what's happening with my invite to config" sob story when this arrived:

If you have moved, or if you intend to register your smart fortwo in a different state, it is important that you let us know. Our reservation confirmation web site, www.mysmartfortwo.com will provide you with the exclusive access to make any changes, add options, and convert your reservation to a production order. On this site you will also be provided with the estimated pricing for your smart fortwo model as well as any factory installed options that you choose.* Your personal username and password to access this site are as follows. Please keep this information confidential.

So, have to think this over and see what the next one should look like.

Wow - I reserved back in November of 07 and just today got invited to configure. How odd that we have a 6 month difference in reservation dates -- which must have something to do with our locations in the US.

I'm working on arranging a trip to the factory in October too....too bad I most likely won't be there on the day that it is built. I wonder how close to the operation I will get?

Just configured smart #2 today in our family. We have a blue/black cab and ordered a gray/black passion coupe.
