.....where can I get upgraded transmission, clutch, engine, etc. ?? It's a ton-'o-fun & it didn't feel bad at 65 mph on expressway under construction.....does the transmission get better with use ?
Congratulations!!! It's not an Indy car. The engine breaks in and with the HP increase and increased torque, the trans responds better. (my opinion) It is still deliberate and slow by comparison to a US automatic but much, much more fun!!
It rides much better than the Wrangler it replaced (probably shouldn't compare to the old Porscshe 911 before that). I thought it might draw attention, but was surprised to hear "Faggot" 2 blocks from the dealership ! I like your color choice !
You could not have picked a better color, with regard to the shifting, after you get through your learning curve with the car it will somooth out. Maybe 2000 miles
Have just now passed the 2000 mile marker and the car is really driving and shifting much smoother. I had it on the turnpike yesterday and it had no trouble keeping up and a few times it wanted to go even faster than those big boys!! the only problem I have had is with the rear passenger side tire. Went low and then actually went flat after that initial air fill. I used the emergency kit and have had no further problems. By the way, I ordered and received a refill of the tire filler from the dealer and the cost was $46. Steep!

Can buy the same refill kit at Wal-mart, contains a bottle of slime, the pump, and a handy carrying case for $20.00, sorry, no $20.00 smart logo to drive the price up to $40.00

Unfortunately, there will always be ignorant folks out there. I'm glad that it seems as if you didn't let their narrow-mindedness detract from your enjoyment of your new car. Best of luck with it.
