I Need Help!!!!!!!

First of all, "HI" I just ordered my smart cabrio (SP?) on may 8th...I ordered it in yellow..is it true they are going to stop making the yellow this year???? WHY????? I am freaking out..I really want my smartie in Yellow!!!
Is this just a rumor?? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

From what I have heard, the yellow will not be an option in 2009. If you really want a yellow get on an orphan list and specify that color, or get any color and buy yellow panels now.

Sue worst case they discontinue the yellow .... so your new car will cost you $899 more to get yellow.... you might even got friendly with your dealer and come delivery time trade in what ever color your panels are ordered with for them to swap to yellow panels...

I am in same boat...wife ONLY wants YELLOW... I will order a set of panels later this year and do the swap myself after the car comes in... If smartUSA asks me to pick an different color I will select White

Sue - I totally agree with Fred! Probably the safest way to go. In the meanwhile, it wouldn't hurt to contact smartUSA and let them know what you think about removing yellow from the color chart. It can't hurt. It appears that most people on this Forum feel the same way about the yellow. My smart is black, but if I ever decide to trade panels, I'd probably choose yellow or have my panels custom painted a special color. Good luck and you'll love your car no matter what the color!

If this is true I really don't know what their reasoning is behind it. Yellow is a very popular color for the smart.

Thanks Guys, That is kinda what my hubby said...order the yellow panels now....I can just see me sitting in the driveway surrounded by my yellow panels waiting for 12 months to get the car...LoL
