I'd been following the Smart car some time now, even signed up for the news letters. I lost interest when I saw the price and mileage. Hell, I had a 1990 Honda CRX HF that would get 50 mpg and averaged 46. Then the CARS program came along, at first I looked at Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep, they were willing to match the $4500 and I have a 1988 full size Blazer to turn in. Well as a big MoPar fan, I was disappointed when Chrysler excluded all the cars I like, Challenger, Charger and Jeep Wranglers. What was left was neither interesting, fuel efficient or affordable, even with $9000 off! So I started looking at affordable cars, with high mpg and the Smart kept turning up at the top of the list. Then the clincher, $99 a month for 3 years, just when my mortgage is paid off! So down to the Annapolis Smart Center to see the car, test drive it and check out the Red/Black Passion Coupe, leather seats and Black wheels we saw on their web site. Well we have the check, the Blazer is ready to go and we pick her up tomorrow around 6pm. Lot's of good info here, take care.

Well we picked her up last night. Really sad to see the old Blazer waiting on "Death row", but really happy with the new toy. Left Annapolis Md. and jumped on 97 (one of the few 65 mph roads around here) and was quickly passing SUVs at 80! Everywhere we went people waved and smiled, a lot like in 2000 when I bought one of the early PT Cruisers.The Black wheels really set it apart, I'll add an image to my profile soon.
