I am sure I missed it in the manual but I can't seem to find how many miles between oil changes do they suggest...and does anyone have any thoughts on synthetic oil such as Mobile one?

Your car has mobil 1 in it. Penske switches all of them over when they hit the shore. You can go 10,000 miles before the oil is due to be changed according to the book

Actually 10,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first...

It's one of the recommended oils. High-quality synthetic is what is required. Mobil 1 is widely available in the US so I'd go with it. . . you can get a Mobil 108 filter, too. Sometimes the big auto parts dealers put 5qts of Mobil 1 + a Mobil filter on special.

I might do a break-in change at 1000 miles. I asked the salesman and he said Smart doesn't recommend it. I think I'll study up on the owners manual a little bit. Cheap insurance, man!
