If you configured today figure December to January depending on where you live... I too configured our second smart today.
Highway driving is great... routinely have it about 80 on the interstate and it's a smooth ride... one thing I will say is make sure your wheels are balanced when you take delivery... ours weren't and it took us 8 months to figure out the issue... once balanced it was a smooth ride. Of course wind will blow you around but that's true with any car of this stature... in reality it's not bad at all.
If you just configured check your DDE on smartusa.com. I configured over the weekend and my DDE says Jan-Mar 2009. Before I got the invite to configure the DDE had me at Mar-May 2009. As you get closer to delivery date the DDE will start giving you an actual begin and end date. Most have taken delivery approx. 30 days after the begin date.
