Just saying hello

Hello, I have been a lurker on this forum for way to long now, and as I might be buying an orphan this weekend (my order is still at least 4 months out) I thought I would join up. This forum has been very helpful in helping me plan on what to do to my smart... also to help keep me happy while I wait for almost a year now.

Welcome!!
Glad you have decided to jump into the pool.

Feel free to jump into any discussion and let your voice be heard.

Be leary of buying on the weekend, make sure they still give you the attention you deserve as a customer. Take your time durring a walk through of your car, and don't just let them show you how to do things, do them yourself so you can learn.

Make sure you read this thread before the weekend. Pre-delivery checklist

Also new

I'm also new to this site. Got my new SC in April. I'm noticing people waiting a loooong time to get their new little guy, I saw a pix in the paper, googled and you tubed videos, called the dealer, told him what I wanted [ a rally red/silver with every option there was] and 3 weeks later I picked it up. A brand new Smart Car with 3 miles on it. I'm wondering what's taking so long for some to get what they want????
