I am having a blast driving my smart and one reason is because most of all other drivers smile at you with approval...I hope.
Mileage is pretty good, not phenomenal like a hybrid... yet when we ordered our smart, gas was still reasonable and the fact that it beats pretty much all the other cars on the road with it's minimal thirst, is just icing on the proverbial cake.
What is also appreciated is the way it handles. I can swoop around a curve without much ado and not worry about flipping. It's safety features are also to be considered. You've got to test drive it with gusto...if the salesman will give you the go ahead.
