La To Las Vegas Drive?

I have two classic micro cars 1969 Fiat 500l and a 1965 Auto Bianchina berlina both 2 cylinders. I love driving these cars but they are more show cars then drivers. I have been waiting for so long just like eveyone else to be able to drive such a small car daily. What I would like to know is would any of you feel comfortable driving this car from LA to LAS VEGAS? I think that would Be such a cool ride in such a small car. I also have a Miata and Toyota echo. I truly love small cars!

If I remember correctly flywithsean picked his car up in LA and drove home to LV, no issues. Sounds like a nice drive.

"Penelope", a bumblebee new owner neighbor of mine (posted somewhere else) came from Florida to DC via Pa with lots of pleasure and no apparent problem.

If I had the spare time off and the money I would drive from Ga to La. Without thinking twice.

Picked up my car in Columbia, MO and drove to LA. The following day I took off for Oregon and returned the next. 5000 mi highway in two weeks. I'm now planning a trip to MI.
Without sightseeing, I am able to comfortably drive 700 1000 mi a day.

Driving to Vegas from LA is like a trip to the 'Burbs'.

PM me we'll have coffee

Vegas to LA shouldn't be a problem.

I drove from Indianapolis to Chicago a couple weeks ago with the snow and wet roads. The distance is almost the same.

The smart was cruising along without any problems.

My butt didn't hurt when I got out of the car either.

Nice collection! I had a 1959 Bianchina Transformable a few years back, and currently own a 1969 Moretti 500 (Fiat 500 based). I love small cars too - that's my reason for buying a smart. The cheap to run, environmentally friendly stuff is all good, but at the end of the day it's the chance to use a microcar as a daily driver that really gets me going!

Made that trip just last Thursday after picking up Maxwell at the Riverside dealership. No problems at all, of course, it was a brand new car! Took five hours as I was trying to vary the speed and rpms and stop periodically to let the engine cool.

The sales guy, who was both new and part time, thought there were six smarts in Las Vegas that had been picked up in Riverside. My guess is that number is low.
