There are more than a few smart owners in the Sacto area, although I'm not sure how many visit this forum regularly. Make sure you wave at the blue/black cabrio driving in from Elk Grove on I-5! That'll be me blasting my music with the top down, probably doing my hearing some serious damage.

We had a cruise organized a while ago by smart center Sacramento, and I think someone is organizing a drive around Lake Tahoe (or maybe it already happened).

Perspectives from a Spring, '07 reservation holder:

Interest has clearly waned in the Sacto and bay area. Back in early '08, there were dealer events, aftermarket vendor events, the famous Lombard Street event, scheduled drives, etc. Had to wait a year-plus to get the car... Now---zip.

Original affecianados have left the building. Sure, there's a few '08 scavenger owners around (...particularly, here on this board).

Most of the folks that actually reviewed, drove an overseas model, ordered, and waited for the US release have moved on.


The SF chapter may amuse you, although there's only a handful of members who actually participate.
