Hi
I am new here and did some research and am on the orphan list for smart Edision(also have a reservation). I am looking for a dealer who will sell orphans(preferably with addons I can choose) .Willing to travel any recommendations?
White Plains has one (as of last night). It is a Yellow and Silver Passion Coupe. They loaded it up with GPS tracking and other nonsense, bringing it up to $18,100, but if you really want a car, it's there for you.

Most dealers won't/can't sell out of their designated area's.
Can always try craigslist and ebay.
That's what I found to be true. I called all over and no one would sell out of their area. I found one in Cherry Hill. I live in PA, but it was a no go because I wasn't in their area, they said. I did get mine in Devon eventually.
There is a reason that some dealers will not sell out of their region. When the car is sold that information goes to smart USA. If the car is sold out of the dealer's region they don't receive a profit payment. Not sure of the technicalities or the proper terms, but this is the essence of what my dealer told me some time ago.
Considering that whenever I called Smart and asked them who my assigned Dealer was they always replied they did not know and would not know until I was invited to configure. And they also said when I do configure I can have the car sent to the Dealer of my choosing. So I would assume this leaves a lot of people in no mans land as far as protected regions go as Smart themselves have no idea who belongs to whom....
I was told that in order to sell to a buyer "out of area" the dealership would tack on an additional 3% fee. They then have to hand over this fee to "Mother smart". Must be the same as the profit payment mentioned above. The dealer @ Edison, NJ told me this last week...
Well, considering I got my smart from the West Palm Beach dealership even though I am walking distance to the Coral Gables dealership and the Weston dealership is also closer, I do not think that rule is really set in stone.
