Lost Key

I would appreciate knowing if anyone has experience getting a replacement key...don't ask what happened to the other! Hate to be down to one - with my luck... Thanks!

Someone here said $300
Guess you'd better contact your dealer. Ouch!

I heard $250 before, so $300 isn't out of line. Of course it is a bit excessive.

I had to have mine replaced, but it was at the fault of the dealer or smart or whoever coupled the keys! I ended up with someone else's key. It took 4 1/2 hours to program, because smart didn't want to give up the program codes. I was told if it had been my fault a new key with the fob with electronics is $120 and the key without electronics is "only" $80. Good luck! I only had to wait about 2 weeks!

I still haven't figured out how to lock myself out of my car, but my hubby wanted his own key!

It cost me right at $300 to replace one in Hartford. Had to buy a pair of keys and a transmitter fob and an hour of labor... You can get up to six keys matched to your car but if you loose both keys you need to replace the computer as well I don't want to know what that costs...
Now to a pair that work normally I have a key blank that will open the door but not start the car, what a deal.

Or one visit to the Fort here in Springfield. Some things are just worth it.

It sounds like terrific dining.
Do you actually use the valet service?
