The n00b post

Hi. My name is Dave and i am a certifiable car nut. Currently have 5, and in about 4 hours i will have 6. That would be my Smart, which arrived at the dealer on Friday 8/29, and is being prepped as i type this. My wife has wanted a Smart since she first saw a picture of one back in 2000. So i think she has been waiting longer than most here for hers, 8 years...LOL. She ordered hers in February, so the wait hasn't been too bad.
My other cars are:
2007 Dodge Caliber R/T AWD
2006 Scion xB
2000 Subaru Forester
1987 VW Cabriolet (triple white)
1969 SAAB 96 V4(for sale)

Welcome from another "car nut". Like the comment on the Saab, but if memory serves me right (and maybe not at my age) the 96/95 model range had the key in the "correct place, the dash". Between the seats on the floor didn't start until the 99 series along with seat heaters. Have been a Saab owner since the two stokes that I used to ice race in the mid 60's. Still have a nice 900 conv.

THANKS!!
DowneasTTer, you are correct. my 96 has the key on the steering column. I Have enjoyed the SAAB, but it is time to pass it on to another enthusiast. I put it on ebay last night
