Talk with people in your area, or the closest place to you that sales Smarts. They would be a better help than us, and this guy above me who doesn't even know what hes talking about. No offense Curtis, but It won't really matter what we say unless we live in those conditions.

yeah, but we don't have mountains and I plan on driving my Toyota Matrix during the winter...I

cs-I test drove a Smart in Blizzard conditions and I would not want to drive it everyday in snow and in mountains, and being from South Georgia I don't think you should even be commenting on this thread.

Search and you can find

There are lots of posts available in the forum from drivers with actual experience driving the Smart in snow. This is a link to help you get started.

This is another example of it working quite well.

I don't think the Austrians, French, Germans, Swiss, and Italians who live in the Alps have any trouble with the smart.

Souvenirs, souvenirs... I use to have a couple of 10 lb. bags of sand tucked somewhere in the car, just in case those Alps passes got to be nasty...
Yes, I was born and raised there. ;)

yeah, you're right it's a great car to drive in blizzards and around twisting ice coated mountain roads. I guess they call it a city car because the city is usually full of mountains.
