Took delivery of my '09 Silver Brabus last May 5th after ordering it April 30, 2008. It was definitely worth the wait. What a fun car to own and drive and such a conversation starter. I have the same sound coming from the right rear curbside as most Smart owners have and I'll have to do some investigating to solve it after reading the threads about it. Presently my Brabus is in the dealers shop getting a new block @ 7500 miles. I noticed an engine sound other than the typical noise mentioned above. Seems that the bearings were scored. (Oil was changed @5000 miles at the dealers and the level was always fine.) After the dealer contacted Smart, the decision was to replace the engine and restart the engine/drivetrain warranty from the date of completion. In the meantime I have a Smart loaner that cannot compare with the Brabus suspension. Totally like night and day. The loaner doesn't shift as smoothly and porpoises between gears. My Brabus should be ready tomorrow. Can't wait.
