hi. my name is richard and i'm a smart-a-holic - i think - cause i've yet to drive one. i'll test drive one at the annapolis mercedes dealer this week. report to follow. my current commute vehicle (when i don't ride my bicycle) is a diesel 1 ton van. ya think i will notice a difference in my fuel expenses for the 60 mile commute? i have signed up on the waiting list so i suppose i have about a year before i get my hands on one. true? R

Once you get a Smart, you will have to start using capital letters at the beginning of each sentence or they'll take it away from you.

I believe your wait may be over a year, but this depends on the region in which you live. I have been waiting over a year and expect delivery in the next 2 months. Take time to find out more about your future smart before you take delivery. You may be suprised that there is no spare tire and few parts available. There is also no cruise. The list goes on and on both positive and negative. You can find most anything at this site. Happy reading.

New kid on the block here...greetings from Pat (Patrick) on the shores of beautiful Lake Keowee in Upstate South Carolina. Put my reservation in in December for a white cabrio, but have not received my confirmation email yet :-(. And...the Smart website estimates I will not get my car until the fourth quarter of '09...bummer!! As a retiree, I'm REALLY anxious to be an owner! Stopped by smartcenter Charlotte (after recent Jimmy Buffett concert there) to at least checkout the real thing after seeing one in Greenville (test drive next time!). Hope the confirmation comes soon and the delivery estimate is pessimistic. In any event will keep pumped up thru the club...thanks!
