We ordered our SFT in Nov of '07 and took delivery in May of '08. We have other vehicles and have 3500mi. to date. We really would like to have cruise control and wondered if it's available. I have a service appt. for the "chip" upgrade on the 29th!

Only aftermarket CC at this point. MDC from Germany, carried by Smart Madness, one of our supporting vendors, and Area 451 from North America, sold by Smartie Parts in Canada.

Welcome to the forum and definitely get a cruise control. You'll drive yourself crazy if you try to read all the posts on cruise controls (but there is a lot of info in those threads.)
Basically both units work well, both Smartmadness and Smartieparts have great customer service, and both installs are about equal in difficulty (with the MDC having a few more votes for easier install.) Both have available dash LED's (a gotta have feature), some folk have a quibble about a small color difference in the MDC stalk compared to stock. If you want stuff like the sprint booster, getting it as an extra feature of the MDC would give that unit a slight price advantage. Whichever you pick, you'll enjoy the convenience. (I have the Area451 and love it. Found the install process straightfoward and not difficult. And, it's worked flawlessly for about 9k miles and 8 months so far.)
