Hi everyone. my name is Erich. I do not own a SMART just yet but I am highly interested. right now i drive a fully customized Scion xB and im looking for a new project/daily driver for about the same payment. I've looked into the articles and reviews about this car and about 98% of them I've read have all been positive. however im still a little weary about making another vehicle purchase. as we all are i guess. now let me give you a little insite about myself. I'm 6'3" and my wife is 5'11" both athleticly built. im wondering how we would fit in them. are they comfortable? what about trips to the beach with her and the dog? is there enough room in the "trunk" for more than just a piece of paper? lol. Does anyone make aftermarket parts for them? I'm talking about turbos and things not iPod connectors. any info would be great and just give me an honest opinion of what you think. thanks in advance

~E

Welcome "guck84"! Lots of room for you two. You can find plenty of 6'+ on the forum, hefty too. I.e. http://www.smartcarofamerica.com/for...849-post3.html
You can also find pics with "Narnia wardrobe effect" room in the cargo, including two dogs.
Lots of mods too. Just browse around and enjoy!

Welcome to the board... the basic answer to all your questions is YES!!

I'm 6'3 and 350lbs and myself and my wife fit just fine. And we have 2 dogs that fit in the back. With out the dogs there is plenty of room for a cooler and chairs to go to the beach (we live near Tampa).

Welcome!

Since you're in JAX you can easily get to you local smart center and try one on for size! You and your wife shouldn't have any trouble ~ the dog, maybe, maybe not, depending on whether it's a Newfie or a Jack Russell. . . LOL
The really great thing is about smarts - if you don't like it, you can always sell if for what you've got in it - even after lotsa miles. Whatever, you gotta at least go visit one.
Good luck!
