I'm expecting delivery of a Passion Coupe in Blue/Black Tridiron w/Comfort Package in mid-August. I'll immediately embark on a cross-country road trip from New York to San Francisco. Thought I would have some really interesting encounters along the way, so I've raised a little bit of money to make a Documentary film about the journey. I'm looking into setting up a website about the project, and will keep everyone here up to date if you're interested.
You should plan to arrive in the first weekend of August! We're planning on setting up 100 smarts on Lombard St. for photo's then lunch/meetup. Check the San Francisco chapter forum for more info

Sorry for duplicating Carl's idea - it wasn't posted when I began to write my post and I was called away for a while, so by the time I had mine posted, Carl beat me to it. Any way, it's a great idea.
Dear smart trip - If your smart gets delivered a little early, and you can make it to San Francisco by August 10th, I just wanted you to know that we're having a group smart photo shoot on Lombard Street, and it would be fun to include you in the photo op, or at least you could add the event to your movie! Oh wow, that would be so cool! Unfortunately, I'm locked into leaving from NYC on the 9th and can't change our travel dates because of my wife's vacation schedule. I bet that will make the Bay Area news stations! Wish we could be there and thanks for the heads up. In case anyone's wondering, here's our tentative travel schedule:
8/8 Arrive NYC from Austin
8/9 NYC-Cleveland Area
8/10 Cleveland to Chicago via Detroit
8/11 Chicago to Omaha
8/12 Omaha to Laramie Area (Friend's ranch)
8/13 Laramie Area to Salt Lake City
8/14 Salt Lake City to Lake Tahoe
8/15 Lake Tahoe to SFO
8/16 SFO area, drop car for shipping to TX
8/17 SFO to Austin
We're shooting 24P/16:9 with 2nd generation DV Cameras to DV Tape. Thought about HD to P2 cards, but budget doesn't allow for that. Using both on-board and wireless lav mics.
