I bought my Smart Passion Coupe in May last year here in Mexico City. Have had a series of battery related problems with it, starting after a 2.5 week period of inactivity in November. Am taking it in to the dealer but was wondering if you've had any problems with your new Smart.

You didn't mention your smart year. You should not have any trouble in a 2008-2009 smart car. If you have problems you are covered under warranty. The dealer should take care of that.

it's a 2008 and it's with the dealer now. based on some threads, there was a batch in 08 that had faulty batteries. however, couldn't tell if the dealer knew of this issue. and it doesn't sound like you've had any problems. I guess I just got lucky.
