A New member that needs HELP!

Hi all you smart fans,

I purchased a smart fortwo passion cabrio and have 1 major problem. I can't shut off the alarm, when I lock the car the alarm goes off after a few hours. What's the answer??

Thanx,

Do you have anything in the center console? If so remove it.

If you have nothing there then my suggestion is a trip to your dealer asap... They can reduce the sensitivity of the system and that should solve the problem.

This may give you an idea of what others have experienced:
Alarming Situation

In my case it was the motion sensor. Until they could get the part, I had to turn it off when locking the car. (Push the center dash button with the toe hook on it. It turns off the motion sensor, but leaves the rest of the alarm functional. If this "cures" you're problem, you've at least got a pretty good idea of the source of the problem when you take a to the dealer.)

Welcome, Maybe it is the Geico money moving around in your car. I would have the dealer check it out.
