Howdy all. This is new to me. I reserved a smart and went to the test drives in NJ and PA. I first saw them in Germany in 2002 and have always wanted one. I have a question. With smart in the USA now can they fix an older fourtwo if I import one? Any restrictions on emissions? The new smarts are very nice, but the used ones in Germany are cheap.

The cost of the car, shipping, and having someone in this country federalize it and the certifications to the government will probably total to more than the price of a new one bought here!

The one bought here will have a new car warranty and will have dealer service and parts if needed.

To me it's a no brainer unless finances are not important

hello. I think it's true you will pay less by buying a new car. If it was to import a roadster or a 4/4 why not but for a 4/2 I dont think that it is a good idea. If the new ones are too mutch expensive why not wait until there are some second hand on the use car market?
