Welcome Michael and congratulations with ownership! I think several members here can fill you in on driving in the mountains (I haven't). And what to you mean about getting window visors? For the front or the side windows?

Yep....2 minutes after I leave the drive I am in the mountains! It does fine. Best in manual mode and I shift some to keep the RPM in the good range...but never a issue. I have driven my Smart in some of the most remote and rugged areas of West Virginia and never had a time I thought the car would not do it.....Now 55 mph side winds on the New River bridge....that's another story!

I took my smart over a mnt this pat weekend. She did just fine. It was nice out and I did not have the A/C on. The speed limit was 45 and I went over at 55 mph just fine. She didn't struggle at all. Next week, however, I will be a lot of and much more steeper mnts. I fully expect everyone to be passing me. Of course they always have, I've never been a fast driver.
