New membre here... but smart owner from 2006!

Hello!

I'm french canadian (It's the reason why my english vocabulary could be bad sometimes).

So, I'm a smart fortwo owner. I have à 2006 C7 smart fortwo, pulse model, full black, powered by the reliable and fuel efficient mercedes-benz turbodiesel 0.8L CDI engine. I love this power plant!! The noise, the smell (Biodiesel), fuel millage (about 3.8L/100km)... so I realy love it!!

But since I bought new, the love story between my smart and my are not perfect. I had some problems with the car and the service. Water infiltration, hand brake cables stuck, A/C leak, ESP/ABS failed during snow storm who cause me a roll over accident last winter and a lot of other problems. So... since I repair and maintain my car by myself I have less problem with the car because smart (mercedes-benz) dealer realy dont know exactly how to fix and maintain our smart. It's very sad when you go to the dealer to fix someting and they break somting else that was not break before when they repair the first thing... so, the service is too bad. I hope that the service will be better for US market!!

So, I hope to meet some oder smart entousiast here!!

Ok, thanks for infos!

It's sad that the new 451 is not import with the Diesel CDI. I hope it will be back before I must change my actual smart. I have try the new 451 with the mitsubishi 1.0L gazoline engine and... I was not realy satified. Not realy more powerful, very noisy for a gaz engine, too much fuel consumption... no thanks! Not for me!! I'll wait for next CDI or CDI/hybride smart generation!!
