New Owner, leased a passion.

Hey Everyone, I am new owner of a Smart, via two days. We signed the lease last Friday, but the shipping truck broke and the car didn''t arrive till Wednesday. Having a lot of fun so. It is a passion, gray metallic with black. I have to admit amazed at how much room there is, our other two cars are a Suburban and Crew Cab Silverado, but this seems to have just as much leg / head room as those. Will be my primary tranportation to work. Seems like a great forum here with a lot of helpful information.

Welcome and enjoy your smart car. Remember to only use premium gas and use Mobile 1 0W-40 oil and all will be well.

Thanks for reminder! I've told my wife several times about the gas. I've been seeing some post about the types of oil. Can you really go 10,000 before an oil change?

Mobile claims you can actually go 15,000. I change it when it turns black, usually at 7,000.

IIRC some testing that someone did indicated 7500 would be a better interval. I'm going 6000 myself, but that's just because of my driving.
