That is a steal. Good find!

A 2008 Yellow Smart Cabrio just sold on ebay for $16,888!!! A dealer down the street has a used black coupe for $16k. Some people don't know what they have and since its winter I think people don't realize these are Spring/Summer cars as many people buy them not as their primary vehicle but more as a fun around town car. In the North, Winter is a buyers market for these cars especially for convertibles in the North. The demand for these cars will only increase come Spring and Summer and gas prices always go up during the Summer. Oil was up nearly 50 percent from a couple of months ago to $48 a barrel yesterday.
I'm surprised though that your ETA was 9.2010, that seems excessively long. The newsletter we got yesterday showed that Smart sales in January and February were quite good, so maybe new car sales are better than used car sales. I think a lot of people don't take into account the destination charge and all the dealer fees which add a grand over the advertised MSRP which is why people tend to order a new one rather than buy a used one at a considerable savings, then when they go to pick up the car they shrug off the extra thousand dollars on top the of the MSRP/options.
