NEW smart from Chandler Arizona Smart Center

Wife bought a Smart finally. Her name is Bea - the car, not my wife. Passion, cabrio, tinted windows, heated seats. White with silver Tridion, tan interior. Gonna do custom paint. Looking at all the possibilities. Maybe a zebra stripe of just a cool color. Chandler Smart Center was awesome. We picked her up on a Sunday and their detail crew was out so a couple days later they picked her up, dropped off a loaner, detailed her and brought her back WITH a new set of floor mats as a thank you for being patient on the detailing delay. Way to do business. I have a couple of questions. Does anybody have enough time with their car to say whether an extended warranty is a good idea? Is cruise control a good add! Appreciate any input. I'm out of warranty and I was on the fence about extended warranty for a short while when my car was at 12K miles. I contemplated the smart extended warranty, but didn't go for it. There are some high mileage cars around (much higher than my 25.5K miles) and there is an occasional part failure, but I've decided there is not enough of that to push me towards an extended warranty.

Best addition for me has been cruise control. I think the change to same size wheels/tires up front as on back will be second best (when that happens ;^), based on all the reviews here.

If you do any driving at a distance, you'll appreciate a cruise control. I use the Area 451 unit and have been very pleased. I do have a 1 yr/12K mile extended warranty, but I'm not sure it is worth the dollars with the $100 deductible. As fortimo indicated, if you're doing any amount of driving at higher speeds/long distances/on rougher roads, you may appreciate a wheel/tire swap up front for a better ride, better handling, ability to rotate, etc. That's been my experience so far over the last 25,000 miles.
