Hello my name is Manny, My smart car was a gift from a friend who is from Europe. I had this car before Smart car was in shipped to the US. now for my problems.
My euro smartcar came with one KEY and this key has been thru hell and is currently missing the alarm button (security button). In order for me to alarm/dis-alarm the car I have to use some metal object (like my other keys) to TRY to press down and hope to get lucky to get the car to alarm/dis-alarm the car. At times I would sit for 30 minutes trying to get it to work.
? 1. How do I get another key made? (remember it's from EUROPE)
? 2. how do I get this done without any type of registration on my car. It could not be registered in CA because of different smog/USA car setup IE my Smart car is in Kilometers per hour instead of MPH and the engine and whole car is different. Mostly my Smart car has way less SAFETY systems installed. (IE. my roof is basically a see-through roof. There is no trunk only a back lift window.
? 3. How do I register my SmartCar?
