Hi everyone. I hope to have my Smart by the end of the year but I have a question about my reservation number. I read the reservation number thread but I am still confused.

My number is 0475701595

Will this give me any info on ETA that is better then the DDE?

the only way to get your dde is through the website and type in your email address.All you can do is wait

That is what I figured. The DDE says 10/22/2008 to 1/20/2009. My dealer called over a month ago saying I should have it in a month but so far nothing and now the dealer says to just wait.

When do I get a VIN#?

Ask the dealer if your car is manufactured they will recieve a vin. When did you order and when did you configure? Then you can track your vin

Was supposed to be waiting til next spring/summer for delivery, then the dealer called me with an orphan, two weeks ago. Its been fun driving this past week.

You could try calling your dealer about orphans.

There is no real way to establish an arrival date.
Everything is based on guesstaments.
My reservation number is 1409 (last four numbers)
and my car is still not here yet.
I reserved Nov 10 2007 and confirmed Aug 26 08.
Dealer called and said car is due into San Antonio 21 Nov 08.
We think the car is still in Jacksonville at the port.
No telling when it will get to Texas.
Figure on a 12 month wait for your car and if they start delivering earlier you make out even better.

I ordered in April-May 2008. Configured in August.
