Well, I got a call from my dealership last week that my Metallic Blue Passion should be here any day now. WHOOHOO!!! I HATE waiting though, this is driving me NUTS!!! But I am sure that it will be worth it. I have waited over a year now, so what is a few more days, right?
One question to you guys that have already taken delivery on your new baby. Since we ordered these cars, is the price set in stone, or will the dealer entertain some dickering on the price if there are no dealer-installed options?
Welcome! Hope you'll have the keys to the new smart soon. No dickering on the price assuming it's a car you reserved through smart USA. $645 transportation, plus whatever your state fees are, plus the dealer "doc" fee - there's a separate thread on those in the delivery section.
Welcome bull. No dickering on the prices. It's your model and options plus tax, tags, title and various fees. Might want to make some decisions beforehand though like if you want extended warranty since it's only 2 year 24000 miles. Too few cars and too much demand to dicker.
I didn't know that, but for some unexplained reason, that is what I "felt". Just figured it would be safer to ask the community before I go in with the "you're coming down or I'm leaving" mentality and getting my feelings hurt.
Thanks for the welcome and hospitality from all of you.
Great site/forum too.

I picked mine up from South Charlotte on April 26. No surprises on the price. I did order the all weather mats and the cargo cover. They will have to ship those items to me as they were not in stock.
You will enjoy the experience. The Smart team in South Charlotte are the best.
I am glad to hear you say that. They seem really personable so far, so I guess I will find out soon. I just found out the car will be there this Thursday! WHOOHOO! Won't be much longer now.

So happy for you. You will love the car. We have had our car 2 years. No problems. Just love driving it around and having everybody point and smile. We originally ordered one, but after 1 year of waiting, we heard they had cars on the lot in St. Louis area, so we bought one there.
psst... you might take a look at the dates before posting...
hehehe When I got notification that someone had replied to one of my threads, then to see the title, I thought the last 2 years must have been a dream. That, or my theory of simultaneously flushing two commodes on opposing sides of the neighborhood really do alter the time/space continuum...
Actually, I am on my second smart. And you are right, I did love it, and still do.
