Just a quick message to say Hello and hope to get to know you all and chat sometime. I have just bought my very 1st smart (2009 CDI) please don't laugh to much. needed something cheap to run and tax (no road tax, YEAH!!! )

Hi, also from UK, I've had a 451 71 bhp Passion for about a year, bought it on a bit of a whim as I'm a biker through and though but love it. However, looking to upgrade to a 84bhp turbo which I'll get remapped as I'm wanting more power.

Welcome! Never fails - buy a new car and they update it for the next model year: 2010 cdi upgrades!

Why would anyone here laugh about your smart? Welcome to the forums. Wish my car was a cdi, but we don't get them here in the States.

thanks for the news jwight (it always happens to me, 1st new car i've ever bought and it gets more power a yr later, hahaha)

i dont mind help my fellow smart drivers in the US with parts etc from europe (babybenz)

still cant belive you actually have smart cars in the US, i'd b terrified on a highway with all them big 4x4's, big rigs etc
