News on replacement Sunshades

Is there any specific name or number for this part or how can my dealer find out about it? I want to get my guy informed about this so I could get it in my car.

Im going to guess you mean the dealership in Indianapolis, 317-580-6801 ? Does this Max have a last name or he's as famous as Prince that they know him as just Max? lol

I called Smart Center of Devon after reading this. They had no idea what I'm talking about, but I asked them to order me another sun shade. When I take Ruby in for an oil change in 4500 miles, they'll have one waiting for her. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it's the new model.

I have heard from Tysons VA dealer that this will be a recall. haven'y heard anything on timing..

Stopped into Loeber's today for a sunshade.#3 came out of the left clip AGAIN and when I read about the re-design coming I choose not to fix it myself-AGAIN! I am on the list for the new part and was told it is 6-8 weeks out. Seems everything about this car is on a wait list

What is the problem or problems with the sunshade. I have a Passion Coupe, but have not used the sunshade very often, it has been too hot this summer. Now that the temperatures are coming back down I am hoping to use it more often. What should I look out for?

so, anyone else hear from smart re: a redesigned replacement shade?

I'm hoping smart will take the initiative on this one and contact owners who have the original (lame) shade...

in other words, i'm hoping for a voluntary recall from smart for this issue...
