Figured I'd stop lurking and make it official.

Some may recognize my SN from Honda-Acura.net, where I tend to hang out far more than I should. h:

I've been in and out of the new car market for the last few years, keeping an eye on the progress of the Smart all the while. It sounds like parts availability is still a bit of an issue.

Having driven a forTwo passion last May, I'm still interested in the idea of a genuine city car for the daily grind. While the Integra is pretty thrifty, it's clear that 40 mpg+ is the new standard for this century.

And it's good to see American drivers finally come to their senses as well. It's time we realize that we don't all need to helm sumo-sized SUV's with the same tonnage as the USS Nimitz for grocery trips and daily commuting.

S'pose that just about sums it all up.
I'll be around every so often.

That might be the biggest thing I've learned from driving my smart. Here in the US we buy vehicles that can do EVERYTHING and pay for that luxury, but in reality what we do most (commute, run errands) takes about 95% of vehicular duties.

My LR3 sits in the driveway six days out of the week now, and I've come to realize we really don't need it at all...
