No Cruise. No adj. wheel. No armrest...

..and no adjustable seat height? Seems to be fairly common in most cars today. Curious as to why these items would have been left off. The lack of a cruise control option and an armrest seems a little surprising to me. I hope this is corrected for 2009...

It's only a correction if you think it's a deficiency. I don't need any of those three so I don't think they're deficiencies.

A want for me, and I call it a "want" because it's not a deficiency,
is radio controls on the steering wheel. Would have been nice to have, since you need to keep your hands on the wheel most of the time.

Speculation: cost plus car's intended use in congested urban environments.

I agree. Of the bunch Frank mentioned, the only one I really miss is the armrest. I haven't felt the need for an adjustable steering wheel or seat height. And cruise control is a luxury for long trips. I don't intend on taking my car on many long trips. I drove for most of my life without cruise, so it's not a big deal.

I agree with bottlerocket too...I got used to the stereo controls on the steering wheel, and it does seem a reach sometimes that takes my attention off the road. But that's by not means a necessity, just another luxury. I have to stop wanting to change channels in heavy traffic.

Welcome to a European car that hasn't been modified heavily for our lazy American culture. Just be thankful they found a way to hack in a cup holder.
Cruise is useless in the city (this was designed as a city car)
Armrest - not needed if you have both hands on the wheel (and you should)
Adjustable Wheel - yeah, I miss it but I've adjusted to it

and ... Seriously you want adjustable seat height on a $12,000 car? No matter what you ordered the base is a $12K car and is engineered accordingly.

The seat height is adjustable - by fore and aft movement on an angle. Won't work for everyone but is OK for most.

DING, DING, DING.....we HAVE a WINNAH!!! i would imagine that unless one is traveling on the 'Autobahn', there's not much need for Cruise Control in most Europeon cities, with their crowded, narrow streets and so many bicycles.

Cruise Control is probably just an American or German thing.....and since these are made in Francais, as the 'Soup Nazi' might say: NO CRUISE FOR YOU!

It would be nice if these were options instead of people potentially voiding warranty on self hacks.
