At the risk of being redundant:

Penske Auto Group (PAG) is NOT a car manufacturer...they are the IMPORTER and distributor...PERIOD!

Mercedes Benz manufactures this car...and the meager 2/24 Mercedes Benz warranty is piddle poor in my professional opinion!

Mercedes Benz is NOT offering a Factory supported extended service plan...

PAG partnered with a third party for the extended service plan. That company is:

Automotive Warranty Services Inc. 175 West Jackson Blvd Chicago Illinois 60604 1-800-846-2490

They are not licensed to do business in all 50 states so they also are sold under Alabama Warranty Services (Same address) or Motor Warranty Services (same address) and several other entity names...

Of the 70 Smart Center Dealers, NOT all are offering the Smart Branded extended service contract...

The Smart branded THIRD party extended service contract is one of the worst plans I have ever examined.

NONE of these products is a WARRANTY!

OK... so I bought this apparently crappy warranty 3 days ago when I picked up my smart... I do I cancel? Do I have to wait for a contract to come in the mail? Do they have a website? I searched and cannot find one!

Doogster. Go first to your dealer. 2nd to the bank. If dealer won't fix it, have him give you a contact name. Make sure to back up everything in writing.

I would also put up a post here on the site (perhaps in General Discussions) asking if anyone has canceled and what they did.

There should not be a problem here. Please keep us posted. A2Jack.
