Norm, I'm telling you - it's a magic car!!!!

Is exactly how I felt after my first test drive of the Smartster!!!

You look at the outside of the Car and think, ok, I will sacrifice normal car feel and responsiveness for the almost closed loop MFG system, the cool look, etc.

And then you get in and drive and it triples in size and handles a little like a sports car - WOWIE ZOWIE is all I can say.

So, c'mon 2009!!!

1591 is such a lonely number;)

Find an orphan dealer. Many from the forum have done just that and have been very happy. Welcome, welcome.

I'm 1549 and every time i hear the word smart I whirl around. Can a smart car be an addiction? I wonder...

Yes, the Smart car is an addiction. Four years ago, I started writing MB and Chrysler questioning them on when they would bring the Smart here. Now that I have one, it's even better than I thought it would be. When you take the trouble to actually christen your car and give it a name, it's a member of the family!

I was 1541, I got my orphan on Tuesday EXACTLY what I wanted...I think I got a little lucky. Get on the orphan lists now before they get too long. In MN its up to 248 people, when I got on it was 70 people a few weeks ago.

All - Thanks so much for the warm welcome!

Jefferios - Congrats on your orphan, the day I was testing driving at San Jose, someone from Los Angeles was picking up an Orphan at the same time. So I got on the dealership's list as well as requesting to be put on the San Francisco and Sacramento lists as well.

We will see what happens...
