O.K. BLUE is my favorite color....so I'm biased! I'm telling you though, right after this car's been washed, and the sun is shining on that blue metallic paint.....it's a thing of beauty!!

Really!! I waited for a year from the time I reserved until my car arrived..........TWO years if you count the year I was waiting for Daimler to decide to import the fortwo after I saw them in Canada!

That being said, I don't know how old you are, but it seems that once you hit 50, time goes by faster than when you're younger!

So.........5 months......or even 8 months.....goes by pretty fast. It's gone before you know it!

Whether it's worth the wait to get the color that you really want......I think that's a personal decision that only YOU can decide! There were orphans available before my car arrived, and my wife liked the black/silver, and the white/silver, etc. However, I had to have my blue!!

We already had a blue Chevy Aveo, but the blue on it doesn't even compare to the metallic blue on my smartie!! If you really, really have to have a smart RIGHT NOW, then go for the orphan and sell it when your blue one comes in. If you don't have to have it right now, then just wait and avoid the hassle and worry of selling the orphan later. Or just become a two-smart family if you're married and can afford it!!

Either way, I wish you the best on your decision!
