Owner for Three Months

I have owned my Passion since August, and I love it!! I had to buy it in NY and have it shipped to HI because there are no dealers here. I have 1500 miles on it, no problems, but I know I'll need an oil change pretty soon, and there is no service here. I'd love to hear from the three or four Smart owners here in Paradise, but I haven't seen any others (just sightings by friends and colleagues).

Welcome. I have about the same mileage as you but I've had mine for a month. Order the filter and you can do the oil & filter service yourself. =) You can order the filters online or probably get them at a auto parts store. Lots of info on this site.

First oil change is around 10000 miles not 3000. Don't rush. Synthetic oil from the factory lasts a long time, and other forum members have had theirs tested after 6000 miles and show it's still going strong.

It's great to have you here. There's everything you need here. How long did it take your Smart to get there? I know someone that put his on his ship he was on from Ca to Pearl Harbor, was there in a week. Of course at no charge.
