(Parking) Ticket at Pink Panther Premiere

I went to the premier of the Pink Panther on Thursday and missed the caravan of Smart Cars from the dealership. When I got to the theater I saw several other Cars parked in front of the Theater. I parked with the rest of them. After the movie there was a parking ticket on the front of my car. I spoke to the Police Dept. and they said we were parked in the banks parking lot that is connected to the theater and it was illegal. Are there any other owners going to court to fight the ticket? This is in Bloomfield Twp. Michigan

At first, I thought "free tickets"... That's why I added "(Parking)". Sorry about that!

If I read right, You were parked in the banks lot. A private lot owned by the bank and not the city? In Ohio that would be private property and no ticket could be issued unless,. You were in the fire lane for the bank.

I heard about that. What was going on with that?

If you were on private property and no one called the popos, then he cant give a ticket. In texas, he cant give any tickets, unless you were in the firelane.

Well a ticket is betting than finding out they had a small sign warning you would be towed when you come back to find no car.
The Bank may have a standing order to keep their lot cleared after hrs. Lets say its for security reasons.
