Congrats!

Welcome, Steve. Let us know more once you have it - which smart center are you using?

Steveman, I just got mine 4 days ago. Wow is it fun.
My free advice for show-off techniques

1) Make people walk around & look at how small it is. Then make them sit in it & marvel at how big it is. Extra points - make up stuff about quantum mechanics & extra dimensions

2) Resist the urge to uncover the engine & show it off. The fasten-down latch is really not intended to be constantly undone/done like a typical car hood. And if you don't secure it properly heat will leak out & deform the insulation. After checking with my dealer about it I now use the excuse that the service guys forbid me from opening it up. If you're serious get a cheapie mirror to lay underneath engine so can see it without kneeling down.

3) Bang the hell out of the side panels & pop off the front lid (bonnet?) and flex it.

4) If a Passion (mine is) bang the hell out of the roof.

5) Just say something like 39 mpg in-town, 45 mpg road, it all depends on how you drive. Best I can figure after 300 miles I'm around 40-42 mpg with mixed driving. Especially good one-liner when driving by the neighbors, just yell out 45 mpg!

6) Memorize the price points - 11.6, 13.6, 16.6

7) Safety - point out the full seat back with proper full neck/head whiplash support (a rarity, especially for taller people). Built like a sprint car, not an Indy car. Bounce vs crumple. yadayadayada Oh yeah, what happens when you get hit by an 18 wheeler? - You die like you would in any other car. (but maybe better chance to bounce away instead of crumple/crushed)

8) Read oldbike's posting

Have fun!
