Potential Buyer

What are the differences between 09 and 10 models? How do I tell the diff. when going to a dealer? Does anyone have any experience with Cherry Hill, NJ Smart dealer?

The difference: there are no 2010 models yet.

Things that changed in 09 model:

*Added Rally Red and Gray Metallic (Yellow and Old orangish red discontinued.

*Added nets instead of solid plastic for storage built into door.

*Added loss gas cap indicator.

*Added a red interior option that more matched the red of car. (old red wouldn't have matched Rally Red)

*Added fog lights with confort package (autolights, auto wipers removed - if you see hockey puck in window it's a 08)

*Added option to have solid roof.

That is the difference between the 08 and 09 smart and there are no 10 smarts yet.

I suspect a color change (or two) for 2010. And the Built-in Nav/Sirius/BT will be a build-to-order option.

fpage, the early 2009's were still available with autolight/wipers. I know because mine is a 2009 and has the hockey puck.

It's something I really wanted and glad I got before they discontinued them...

Garage
The model changeover announcement (or most of it anyway) was in late August last year and will probably be the same this year. Hopefully, smart USA will announce all the changes at once this time.
