Problems with new cars?

hey all.. i noticed a few things wrong with my cabrio any one else have the same?

1) I got a thumpin in the front driver wheel.. most noticable at low speeds. like there is something rubbin or stickin in the wheel or suspension.

2) noticed the rear tires are at an angle. top sides of tires are in farther then bottom? Which in my eyes would cause the tires to wear on inside faster.

3) Driver side mirror viberates at highway speed and at idle with brakes on, this also has the header viberating with top bars and windows up

Are any other owners having these problems? Please email me at mikeeverhart@yahoo.com My lit car is goint o shop on monday I always get a car with problems when I buy new ugh

thanks mike

Mike... don't know your age... but remember the original VW's with the rear tires toed in... not sure what the reasoning was but it didn't affect the tires. All the smarts rear tires toe in. Good luck with the other problems. Russ

Hopefully the tire pressure monitor inside the left front wheel hasn't come adrift. It somehow hangs onto the inner end of the valve stem.

The camber in on the rear wheels is completely normal.

It is dialed in like that for stability. Having no camber on the rear wheels on a vehicle with a short wheelbase and/or high center of gravity tends to result in a bit more twitchiness in the steering responses.

Even horse-pulled sulkies and surries have some negative camber for directional stability.

As already well stated the camber tilting your rear wheels is normal - it will probably wear the tires somewhat unevenly but c'est la vie, that's the way it goes - at least these are rather inexpensive little tires and not $600 each as tires can go.

The other things I have not had an issue with and are not normal, hope the dealer sorts them out for you ASAP.

my front left tire lost it weight after its second day ,took it to the dealer and they replaced it with a different type ,they checked all the other tires at the same time ,the car drives better that when I picked it up

Good thing that you don't own a 911 like I had, really had a lot of camber built in, with WIDE, expensive tires, but they didn't wear like you would expect. Just get the imbalance fixed and that should fix both your other issues.

I do have a little vibration at my rear view mirror at certain speeds, but I think that is a normal harmonic that I expect in a little engine buzzing along like this one does. You aren't driving your fathers Olds......
