I payed my $99.00 reservation fee on 6/30/2008 and received an e-mail with my reservation number stating that "Within the next few months, smart USA will contact me". I have not heard or received anything to date.
What is the normal wait time? When will I configure?
Go to this website smart USA - open your mind to the car that challenges the status quo in the lower left hand you will see delivery date estimator, put in your email address and see when your car will be in. We ordered our second smart on 06/27/2008 and it just now showing up today. The estimated delivery date is showing between 12/09 and 02/10. You will get an email from smart about 3-4 months before they start building your car
It appears "normal", though it's relative. Just to make sure, give 1-800-smartusa (1-800-762-7887-2) a call, and have your reservation e-mail ready. That way, you'll know "from the horse's mouth".
What model did you order? "Patience"?
PG, you may want to make sure that the SMART email address is not blocked by your email service, and also go check your spam/bulk folder for 2 messages from SMART. About a week ago, SMART had sent out emails regarding a special Brabus edition to current reservation holders who have not configured yet. You should be in this category and should have received those emails.
