Questions (Re: dimensions and ease of parking)

My son is writing a story about the Smart Car for his school newspaper and needs some quotes from Smart owners. Here are some questions.

1. How big is the car (dimensions)?

2. How easy is it to park?

As far as parking is concerned, it's obviously exceptionally easy to find spots large enough for the smart, even when any other car wouldn't fit.

I'll take #2.... VERY... the turn radius is tiny and parallel parking is a breeze!!

You don't have to parallel park like normal, just pull in, park, then drive out when you're done. Parking lots, well you can park 2 Smarts in a single stall. But just if they are good friends....

I can park easily in the "motorcycle parking spaces" at stores or the mall. I have shared parking spaces with friends, but have yet to park horizontal in a parking space or while parallel parking.

I can whip into a spot in one try that would take me two or more in my SUV. I can park surrounded by three large vans or trucks (F250s, F350s) and still have room to get out on both sides. I might have a picture of one of those in my forum gallery. At school I often encountered students' trucks that were over a line, slanted - because they didn't care to straighten out. The spot was wasted until I got there. Only a Smart or a motorcycle could fit. A Mini Cooper probably would have been too wide. The car's so small I can reach back and touch the back glass, or open the passenger door while rolling down my own window. But on the inside, I have more legroom than most sedans and many trucks. I've had a passenger ride while holding crutches, and a 6'5" passenger had no trouble fitting. It's only a small car on the outside.

This thread is titled questions, so I've got one. Is the Crossblade available? Or slated for production?

Not in the US, but you could always move to Europe and get one!! Or just have a house in Tuscany and one here!!

If you can't park a smart, you shouldn't be on the road.
