If you doa search on Youtube or any of the video services for small car crashes or safety crash tests you will see many small cars being smashed in different ways. the Smart car did a great job of surviving, better than most but it boils down to Just dont get hit. I get tired of people that don't even know me yet they are so concerned about my well being in an accident. I survived a motorcycle crash and I have to believe I'd been better off in a Smart.

With the extra safety features we now have with the 451 we have a much better chance of avoiding the accident in the first place over most other small cars like the kia's.

My point exactly. The best insurance is to be aware of what is happening around you and just plain avoid it. There are lots of crazy drivers that get too close or do dumb moves to get a look at these cars, so be aware and keep a clear path out of danger. I would rather they pull over and get out to take a look, better thaan running me or someone else off the road so they can gawk while driving along at 70mph.
