If you can, upgrade, you get a better sound system overall not just a better radio

I didn't find the radio 10 worth the additional price over the standard radio 9. Neither sounds more than adequate. You would be better off spending the money on an after market radio and speaker upgrade.

Thank you, Bottlerocket an Saronian for the information about the radio. I sat in the Passion an the Cabriolet played the radio, I could not tell the difference. Maybe I need my ears check. Thank you from Johnny Ray

i ordered the basic radio with the intention of upgrading components later on and as necessary. i've sworn off dealing with high-margin, low-quality "premium" OEM sound systems.

Just my .02, but the Radio 9 is "adequate" enough for me to cruise around town. The good stereo is at home.

I agree, anything you pay for "premium" OEM systems is better spent on quality aftermarket gear. I've only gotten around to replacing the original speakers with a set of Polk's I paid $120 for, and the difference is night and day. I'm used to cars with Focal, MB Quart (the old ones), and JL speakers, and I was really impressed what a difference $120 made.

What specific speakers did you buy?

Upgrading all the way... Not that much extra and I understand the basic radio isn't that great nor does it play MP3 CDs....
