Rear spare tire rack

Is there a "go to" place that has rear spare tire racks that still allow access to the rear storage area? Seems like a supplier ought to have filled that niche by now.

These cars are super useful, FB.
Get a Curt hitch from anywhere like rockauto
part# 110200 runs about $141
part#11020 adds a ball riser for $147
get a hitch converter/riser so you can use cargo baskets with 2" squares
Drop/Rise Hitch Adapter - 1 1/4 Hitch - DRH-2

+1 wrumbarger. add-a-spare has a great spare tire holder for the rear of your car.

Pee Wee is right with a hitch you can use a rear cargo holder or pull a small motorcycle type trailer.

I have both a hitch AND add-a-spare on my smart.
So I get the best of both worlds.

It's a shame that we're such a small, niche market and it's so expensive. But I guess they have to recover their design and prototype costs. C'mon everybody...buy one! Then maybe the price will come down to where I can afford one. It appears to be a nice product.

Did you install the add-a-spare yourself? If so, how long did it take? Did yo have to do any drilling or modifications?

I see it's available for $749.00 delivered by one of their distributors instead of $784 delivered.
