Smart cars in Georgia.

I've been driving 4-cylinder vehicles since 1992 when I traded a 1988 Lincoln Mark IV in on a 1992 Toyota Previa van. I'm on my 7th Honda right now – it's a 1994 Honda Accord.

I wish the car lots had the 'Smart' cars in their parking lots now. I wonder why it's taking them so long to stock the car lots. Haven't they been selling Smart cars in the United States since January of this year?

If these cars turn out to be as dependable as the Honda, Daimler/Chrysler has done something great for humanity, (if they can just make them easier to purchase here in Georgia).

They wont be able to stock the car lots for months: they've sold their production for this year, even more; and it looks like a reservation made today may get you your "made-to-order" car by late Spring 2009, earliest!

I reccomend if you really want one to buy one on Craigslist,Autotrader or Ebbay and you can get one tommorow. There are some at very reasonble prices. I got my orphan here in Ga after waiting 6months but now Gas is risen and more people know about the Smart getting on an orphan list will take atleast 1year or more to get the car.
Good luck and dont give up.
