I meant that if you want to lie in your car, your feet will stick out and get cold!

I don't think the smart seat back folds BACK, but it does fold forward onto the seat. I've had several cars which allowed you to fold the seat BACK to nearly horizontal. On long trips, I've fairly comfortably gotten some shut eye at roadside parks in them.

Let me tell you this: The Smart Car is a ***** Magnet!!! If you don't believe me try parking that GTI thing next to a smart car and and sit back and wait for about 20 seconds. Nobody will even notice the GTI. The Smart Car has Rock Star status. Just yesterday I had a gentleman roll down the window on his $250,000.00 Bently to say how much he like MY Car. Drivers are constantly honking, giving me thumbs up, stopping me and telling me how cool my car is. I live in Las Vegas and if were a betting man I would bet that don't happen in your GTI. It's a nice car, But it ain't no Smart Car. Things like this happen everyday I drive my Smart. I do recomend that you keep your GTI too, As cool as the Smart Car is, it's not a good ONLY car it's a GREAT second car. Then,The only thing you have to worry about driving the Smart is that you can only pick up females one at a time. Get the Smart Car and life as you know it, will change forever, don't worry about what anyone else thinks, If you like the Smart Car now you'll love when you own one... J.K.R Las Vegas Nv.

I think that if you question whether you should get a smart or not then you shouldn't.
It's a car that you either HAVE to have or have to avoid.

Babes and smarts

smart fortwo - Definite Chick Magnet! After all, it is cuter than a box full of kittens.
Performance - Not so much. Fun to drive, though.

Wow guys... Thanks.

As it stands, it looks like I'll be getting a smart after all. Since the dollar is in the ****ter right now, most of the cars I like all went up like 10-15 percent. But the smart is still amazingly affordable, and it's not just some dull econo box like an aveo or fit.

I'm not much of a people mover, so a back seat isn't a must have. And I just love the concept in general.

As for performance, I mean LA is just one big traffic jam so what the hell...

By the way, is it easier or more difficult to get a ticket (preferably for speeding) in a smart?

Thanks brothas.

Although I haven't received a ticket in my smart ... I haven't had a ticket in any car I've owned in the past decade. The smart comfortably cruises at 80 MPH, and that is over the legal limit anywhere in the USA. Roadside "your speed" radar signs show my car just fine. It's not a stealth machine.
