Do many seniors get the SMART car?

gmalou, sure; agree with Dunerunner! Entirely appropriate for seniors (I'm just under 70), neat for zipping around town looking cool.

my partner just turned 69 ,I can't keep him out of my car ,he has it more than I do

gmalou: I am 72. I took possession of my yellow and black Passion coupe in May. The Bumblebee is my only car. I haven't had this much motoring fun since purchasing my first new car, a VW Beetle, in 1957. -MrJack

You should talk to Edith Lank, she's in Rochester NY. On "another forum" she asks if, at 82, she might not be the oldest smart driver?

You're never too old to get smart.

I saw an elderly couple taking delivery of a smart at the Portland dealership yesterday.

That's all that is in our local Smart club. 3 total members I think are under 40 years old!!! Most are over 50 and there are many over 70 - I l know one for sure is over 80.

My mother is 89 and loves her Smart. It is a lot easier for her to get into than her other car so she drives it 95% of the time. She drives on the freeway and has trouble keeping it under 70 mph.
